Elon Musk surpasses Bill Gates to become the 2nd richest person in the world

Elon Musk, the founder and CEO of companies –SpaceX and Tesla, has ascended to the second position in world rich list ranking.

Musk, who had beaten Mark Zuckerberg to secure third position, has now bounced ahead of Bill Gates to grab the second position in world’s richest list.

According to Business Insider, Musk’s net worth rose more than $7.2 billion on November 23 after Tesla’s share price surged. As of now, Elon has a net worth of $127.9 billion.

Out of his total worth, Musk has added over $100.3 billion in the year 2020 alone. In January 2020, Musk ranked 35th in the world richest list, but Tesla’s unpredicted soaring high share price has lead him to achieve the second position, leaving other billionaires behind.

The recent growth in Musk’s fortune has come after electric car makers market cap neared $500 billion on Monday.

On the other hand, SpaceX expanded their operations with more than two successful missions with NASA and transported astronauts from Earth to the International Space Station.

Meanwhile, this is second time that Microsoft founder Bill Gates has ranked lower than number two in Bloomberg Billionaire Index.

Gates, who was dethroned by Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos from the top position in 2017, has a current net worth of $127.7 billion. It is notable that had he not been involved in charities over the years, he would still have been on the top of the list.

Reportedly, Gates has donated more than $27 billion to Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, since 2006.

Elon Musk and Bill Gates have been engaged in numerous verbal spat in the past. Recently, Gates had slammed the Tesla chief for his remarks on Covid-19 Pandemic.

Bombay High Court grants interim protection to Kangana Ranaut, sister Rangoli Chandel in sedition case

Actor Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel will not be arrested for at least next one month as Bombay High Court has granted the sisters interim protection in sedition case.

The high court has also directed Kangana and Rangoli to appear before Mumbai Police on January 8. The HC said they must respond to summons while questioning sedition charges levelled against them.

“We are of the prima facie opinion that interim protection till the matter is heard at length deserves to be granted. The police shall not take any coercive action including arrest against the applicants (Ranaut and Chandel),” the court said.

The judge refused to recognize Kangana and sister’s argument that they were busy with their brother’s wedding festivities for last month.

We could not come because a wedding was on. That is why she has sent the statements,” argued their lawyer.

Rubbishing their argument, the judge replied: “Whatever it is, you have to honour the summons.”

It is noteworthy that Kangana Ranaut and her sister have skipped three summons from Mumbai Police. Earlier, they had failed to appear on October 26 and 27, citing that they are engrossed in their family functions. Later, they were called on November 9 to 10, but again cited the same reasons after which the police had asked them to come yesterday and today.

The FIR against Kangana and her sister was registered by Munawwar Ali saying the sisters are “trying to create hatred and communal tension” through their social media posts.

Meanwhile, the court has asked sedition charges against the actor. “Why is the sedition section invoked? Why are we treating citizens of our country like this?” Justice SS Shinde said.

As of now, the court has adjourned the further hearing till January 11.

Kanagana Ranaut’s feud with Mumbai police has been in news for quite some time now. The face off first started when she blatantly criticised Mumbai Police and Maharashtra government over the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. The spat became uglier when she later compared Maharashtra to Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

BSF has disclosed 150 m long tunnel from Pak to Jammu Kashmir, BFS is at alert now

A 150-foot-long underground tunnel (Samba Tunnel) has been unearthed by BSF personnel on the International Border in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir. It is suspected that this tunnel was used to infiltrate the terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed.

This is the third underground tunnel found at the international border in 2020 itself. This is a matter of great concern for the BSF on the 198-km-long international border near Pakistan in Jammu.

Pakistan has changed its strategy for infiltration and due to increasing alertness of BSF at the border, now infiltration is being done from below the ground. In such a situation, the Indian Army has increased its vigil on the international border. The security forces are running this kind of operation to find more such tunnels.

Talking to the media, the DGP said that the police got some clues from the encounter site, which have been shared with the BSF. Which has detected the tunnel after much effort. Jamwal said that this clue was a huge success. This will be strongly opposed with Pakistan. The IG of BSF said that the tunnel is 2.5 meters long and 25-30 meters deep. It is designed in a proper way. It has been made in such a way that it is not known anywhere.

Know about Guru Tegh Bahadur on his Martyr day

Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth Guru of the Sikhs, who followed the path laid down by the first Guru Nanak. The 115 verses composed by him are included in Guru Granth Sahib. He strongly opposed making Kashmiri Pandits and other Hindus into Muslims. In 1675, the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb beheaded him for not accepting Islam.

Gurdwara Sheesh Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib commemorate the places where Guruji was killed and where his last rites were performed. Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib’s place in world history is unique among those who sacrificed their lives to protect religion and human values, ideals and principles.

Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji was martyred at Chandni Chowk on the orders of Aurangzeb.

Like his father and grandfather, he was also brave, so seeing his bravery, he was also renamed Guru Gobind Singh.

When Guru Ji refused to convert, Aurangzeb issued order that Guru Tegh Bahadur should be killed. And their bodies should be cut to pieces and hung around the city.

To frighten Guru ji, first brother Matidas ji was ripped with a live saw in front of him and then Bhai Diyala was martyred after putting him in the boiling water.

Guru Ji was martyred with a sword at Chandni Chowk.

Today Gurudwara Shishganj Sahib is present at this place.

His invaluable ideas are still very inspiring for all of us even today. Let us know his precious thoughts on his Martyr day: –

  • Great works are made up of small tasks.
  • To be deeply loved by someone empowers you and to love someone deeply gives you courage.
  • Success is never final, failure is never fatal, what matters in it is courage.
  • Life is limited or extended in proportion to one’s courage.
  • Have the courage to believe in love one more time and always one more time.
  • Release your head, but discard those you have done to protect. Give up your life, but give up your faith.
  • A gentleman is one who does not inadvertently hurt anyone’s feelings.
  • Mistakes can always be forgiven if you have the courage to accept them.
  • Defeat and win, it depends on your thinking, if you decide to lose then you win.
  • Two of the most difficult trials on the spiritual path are the patience to wait for the right time and the courage to not be discouraged by what unfolds.
