Iran-US War Fears Grow as Washington Sends USS Abraham Lincoln to Middle East, Will Ayatollah Khamenei’s Forceful Quelling of Protest Prove Costly ?

Iran- US- War
Google

Khamenei’s crackdown on protests might not work as planned. After the US sent the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East, fears of a bigger war between the US and Iran have grown. The move comes as Iran is under more and more pressure from other countries over its violent response to state protests. This has caused worries about making a mistake in a region that is already very tense.

Why the deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln is important

One of the most powerful ships in the U.S. Navy is the USS Abraham Lincoln, which can send a message of power over long distances. The fact that it is in the Middle East is seen by many as a warning signal meant to stop hostile actions and protect U.S. interests and friends. Even though Washington hasn’t said it wants to get involved militarily, the deployment shows that they are more aware than ever because of the growing instability.

Will Ayatollah Khamenei’s Forceful Quelling of Protest Prove Costly?

Protests in Iran have spread to many places because of problems with the economy, the government, and social restrictions. As a response, the government has put in place strict security measures, such as mass arrests and limits on contact. Human rights groups and other governments have said that the reaction was harsh and warned that using too much force could make Iran even more isolated diplomatically.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has supported the actions, saying that the unrest was caused by things outside of Iran. There are more fears of a confrontation because of unrest in Iran and a larger U.S. military force there. Tehran has strongly warned against interference from other countries, and Washington is still putting political and economic pressure on Iran.

77th Republic Day 2026 Special: How PM Modi’s Viksit Bharat Vision Meets the Timeless Call of Vande Mataram at 150 Years

Republic- Day- 2026
Google

India’s 77th Republic Day in 2026 has extra meaning this year because it’s also the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram, the song that sparked India’s freedom movement. In this historical setting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat vision is the most important thing. It connects the hopes of a modern country with the spirit that drove its fight for independence.

Vande Mataram at 150: More Than a Song

Vande Mataram was written by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1876 and became a rallying cry against colonial rule. Its message of love for the home still brings the country together after 150 years. In 2026, its anniversary falls on the same day as Republic Day, a holiday that honours constitutional principles, independence, and democratic strength.

The idea of a new India and Viksit Bharat

The goal of PM Modi’s Viksit Bharat plan is to make India a successful country by 2047. The main issues being looked at are economic growth, infrastructure, digital governance, independence, and progress for everyone. The vision aims to turn national pride into measurable progress in areas like digital public services, building roads, and making things for the military.

This Republic Day, the story isn’t just a show of patriotism; it’s about building a country with long-term goals in mind.

Where History and Progress Meet

The fact that Vande Mataram was sung on both Republic Day 150 and 2026 shows a strong connection. Emotional nationalism from the time of freedom is now shown through pride that is driven by progress. Through innovation, manufacturing, and global leadership, the ideas of sacrifice and togetherness are being rethought.

This change is shown by the parade on Kartavya Path, which shows both cultural heritage and technological power.

What I Want to Say to the Country and the World

On its 77th Republic Day, the country not only remembers the Constitution, but also makes a statement about its goals. India shows that it is a civilisation that is proud of its past and dedicated to its future. When cultural legacy and governance vision come together, it gives a clear message of stability, ambition, and continuity.

Republic Day 2026: Why Pakistan and Bangladesh Will Get Shivers Down Their Spine After the Parade, Defence Preparedness Explained

Republic-Day-2026

India’s Republic Day 2026 parade on Kartavya Path is set to send a clear strategic message as a wide range of advanced weapons and military platforms roll out before the nation. The display is not only ceremonial but also a powerful snapshot of India’s growing defence preparedness amid evolving regional security challenges.

Missile Power Takes Centre Stage

Frontline missile systems of India, among other most-watched highlights, will include the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile known for its precision and speed. This will be featured prominently alongside the Akash missile system and MRSAM. These systems underline India’s capability to defend its airspace while retaining strong offensive strike options.

The parade will also include the Divyastra Battery, reinforcing India’s layered missile defence architecture.

Artillery and rocket systems put up signals of firepower.

Indigenous ATAGS and Dhanush artillery guns will showcase India’s artillery might in full strength. Such systems increase the long-range firepower of rapid deployment along sensitive borders.

The Universal Rocket Launcher System Suryastra is making an appearance for the first time at the Republic Day parade. Officials say that the system can carry out surface-to-surface strikes up to 300 kilometres, significantly enhancing India’s deep strike capability.

Tanks and Drones Demonstrate Battlefield Capability

The mechanised columns will showcase a mix of the Arjun Main Battle Tank and the T-90 Bhisma, epitomising homegrown design along with proven combat platforms. A static display of drones will further underscore India’s growing emphasis on unmanned war, surveillance, and precision targeting.

Airpower Completes the Picture

The formations will be supported by Apache AH-64E attack helicopters and the Prachand light combat helicopter while flying over Kartavya Path. Their presence showcases India’s preparedness for rapid action and short contact engagements across diverse landscapes.

Why the Parade Matters Regionally

For neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, the Republic Day 2026 parade serves as a reminder of India’s expanding defence capabilities. The coordinated display of missiles, rockets, armour, drones, and air power reflects a military that is modernising across all domains.

Republic Day 2026: Ditch Loud Tricolours – 8 Chic Fashion Ideas That Scream Patriotism Without Saying A Word!

Today, on January 26, India celebrates its 77th Republic Day. It is a day filled with pride, reflection, and togetherness. While flag hoisting and patriotic songs set the mood, what we wear also becomes a quiet way to express love for the nation. For Republic Day 2026, fashion is moving away from loud tricolour outfits. Instead, the focus is on subtle patriotism that blends traditional Indian handlooms with modern silhouettes.

If you want to dress thoughtfully this year, here are eight stylish ideas that speak volumes without shouting.

Republic Day 2026: 8 Chic Fashion Ideas That Scream Patriotism

1. Subtle White With A Tricolour Touch

White remains the most elegant choice for Republic Day ceremonies. Women can opt for a white Chikankari kurta or a silk saree, paired with a tricolour dupatta or a Bandhani stole. The look feels refined and timeless. Men can keep it simple with a white kurta-pyjama and add a tricolour pocket square or a hand-woven stole for a dignified finish.

2. Modern Indo-Western Fusion

Fusion wear is a strong trend this year. Women can pair high-waisted saffron trousers with an oversized white linen shirt for a relaxed yet stylish vibe. Men can experiment with a structured Nehru jacket in olive green or navy blue over a short kurta, teamed with slim-fit denims. It feels modern while staying rooted.

3. The ‘Blue Revolution’ Look

Navy blue (inspired by the Ashoka Chakra) is emerging as a standout colour. A navy blue drape saree with a matching blazer offers a fresh Indo-Western option for women. Men can choose a textured blue kurta or a blue embroidered waistcoat to stand apart from the usual shades.

4. Sustainability And Handloom Focus

Sustainable fashion takes centre stage in 2026. Outfits made from khadi, hand-woven cotton, or organic linen reflect self-reliance and support local artisans. A hand-painted organza saree or a cotton-silk suit with minimal zari work is comfortable for long outdoor events.

5. A-Line And Kalidar Silhouettes

For office celebrations, A-line or straight-cut suits in ivory or muted green look neat and confident. If the event includes cultural performances, Kalidar or flared suits in saffron add movement and photograph beautifully.

6. Minimalist Professional Attire

Workplace celebrations now favour quiet patriotism. Women can choose sage green muslin suits or ivory-and-gold tissue silk sets. Men can go for a saffron-toned polo with dark jeans or a charcoal blazer over a subtle orange shirt.

7. Innovative Kids’ Costumes

Children’s outfits are getting more creative. Instead of only freedom fighters, kids can dress as “Young Citizens” with a school bag and a copy of the Constitution. A tricolour angel costume with light wings also adds a playful touch.

8. Accessory-Led Patriotic Looks

If you prefer neutral clothing, let accessories do the talking. Men can add a tricolour lapel pin or a saffron turban. Women can try tricolour nail art, bead earrings or a statement clutch to instantly create a festive feel.

This Republic Day 2026, style your patriotism with grace. Sometimes, the quietest choices leave the strongest impression.

Road accident deaths in Punjab have dropped by 48% after formation of Sadak Surakhya Force; other states are keen to adopt this model: CM Bhagwant Singh Mann

Punjab News

Punjab has recorded a decisive improvement in road safety outcomes after the constitution of the Sadak Surakhya Force (SSF), with road accident deaths in the state declining by 48 percent through a system focused on swift emergency response, immediate first aid and better trauma care. Once counted among the top three states in the country for road accident fatalities, Punjab has significantly reversed this trend, with lives now being saved due to faster hospitalisation and improved treatment protocols.

Highlighting the impact of this intervention, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Sadak Surakhya Force has been central to transforming accident-prone stretches such as the Patiala-Sirhind ‘killer road’ and supporting the construction of 43,000 kilometres of high-quality roads across the state, adding that the model has attracted interest from several other states and has even been referenced by the Prime Minister in Mann Ki Baat as a roadmap for the nation.

On Sunday, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said that “Punjab has witnessed a 48 percent reduction in road accident deaths, due to which several other states are now eager to replicate this model.” He said that “many states have contacted the Punjab government to implement this unique public safety initiative in their own regions.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann stated, “The Prime Minister of India spoke about road safety in Mann Ki Baat, but Punjab showed the entire country a new path by creating the Sadak Surakhya Force.”

The Chief Minister said, “A specially trained, freshly recruited force of 1,597 personnel is acting as the backbone of the SSF and has been provided with 144 latest, fully equipped vehicles. Since its launch in February last year, this force has reduced road accident fatalities by 48 percent, besides ensuring the safe return of valuables and money belonging to people injured in road accidents.”

He said, “The force has been deployed along 4,200 kilometres of highways that are prone to traffic accidents. Apart from patrolling their assigned areas, the SSF also acts as a strong deterrent against traffic violations. None of the previous governments paid attention to such serious issues of public concern, due to which Punjab earlier figured among the top three states in road accident casualties.”

The Chief Minister asserted, “Today, accident victims are receiving immediate first aid and proper treatment in hospitals. The Patiala- Sirhind road, which was once known as a killer road with an average of three deaths every day, has now been transformed into a safer road.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The state government is constructing 43,000 kilometres of high-quality roads across Punjab to connect villages with main highways.”

Bhagwant Mann Inaugurates ₹2.80 Crore Saleran Dam Eco-Tourism Project to Boost Tourism in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday inaugurated the Saleran Dam Eco-Tourism Project, developed at a cost of ₹2.80 crore, as part of the state government’s efforts to promote tourism and sustainable development in Punjab.

Addressing the public while inaugurating the project live from Hoshiarpur, the Chief Minister said the initiative aims to enhance eco-tourism infrastructure while preserving the region’s natural beauty. He emphasized that Punjab is actively working to create new tourism destinations that attract visitors and generate local employment.

Facilities developed under the project are expected to encourage responsible tourism

Bhagwant Mann stated that the Saleran Dam eco-tourism project has been designed to offer a nature-friendly experience to tourists, while also creating economic opportunities for nearby villages. Facilities developed under the project are expected to encourage responsible tourism and increase footfall in the region.

The Chief Minister highlighted that eco-tourism plays a key role in diversifying Punjab’s tourism profile beyond religious and cultural destinations. He added that such projects help showcase Punjab’s lesser-known natural landscapes to visitors from within the state and outside.

Local residents and tourism stakeholders have welcomed the project, expressing hope that it will boost the local economy, create livelihood opportunities, and place Hoshiarpur more prominently on Punjab’s tourism map.

The Punjab government has reiterated its commitment to expanding tourism infrastructure across the state, with a focus on eco-friendly projects, heritage conservation, and community participation, ensuring long-term and sustainable growth in the sector.

By developing Punjab’s tourism destinations, AAP Govt is providing employment, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann says after inaugurating Saleran Dam eco-tourism project in Hoshiarpur

Inaugurating eco-friendly huts at Saleran Dam to give a major push to eco-tourism and job creation in the state, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government is increasing employment by developing Punjab’s tourism destinations. He said that film shoots and destination weddings at Amritsar, Patiala and Chimraud Lake have also led to a rise in employment opportunities, adding that the Saleran Dam project will compete with tourism destinations of Himachal Pradesh.

The Chief Minister said the AAP government has revived 52 rest houses that had turned into ruins and that they are now generating ₹1 crore in monthly rental revenue. He said previous governments sold government properties to their friends at throwaway prices, but the present government has recovered those assets.

Interacting with media persons after inaugurating the Saleran Dam Eco-Tourism Project, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Today we have inaugurated the Saleran Dam Eco-Tourism Project to further strengthen tourism infrastructure in the state. Earlier, the Chohal Dam project has been running successfully, and this new initiative will add another attractive destination for tourists.”

The Chief Minister said the project has been conceived at a cost of ₹2.80 crore and is expected to generate more than ₹18 lakh in annual revenue. “This project will attract tourists to the area, create job opportunities for local youth and significantly boost their income,” he added.

Highlighting the facilities created under the project, the Chief Minister said, “A special playground spread over 16,000 square feet has been constructed for children, with a multi-play station and other recreational activities.” He further said, “Four eco huts have been constructed for tourists to stay, and a cafeteria with seating capacity for 80 people has also been built.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann added that a large amphitheatre has been developed to enjoy the scenic views of Saleran Dam, noting that “this project will prove highly significant in giving a major fillip to eco tourism in Punjab.”

The Chief Minister said the project has been developed with a focus on environmental sensitivity and awareness. “Environment-friendly tourism and recreational infrastructure has been created, keeping ecological balance in mind,” he said, adding that the Punjab government is making sustained efforts to promote tourism in the kandi belt of Punjab. “There is immense potential in these areas, and they can be developed as ideal tourist destinations to attract visitors from across the globe,” he said.

Lamenting the neglect of these regions in the past, the CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Due to the negligence of successive state governments, these areas remained ignored in the development process.” He said the government is now harnessing the untapped tourism potential of these areas known for their natural beauty. “Strenuous efforts are already underway to develop the entire region so that tourism in the state gets a major boost,” he added.

The Chief Minister said the region is blessed with abundant natural resources capable of drawing tourists from across the country and abroad. “Promotion of economic activity in this region is the need of the hour, as it will help transform the lives of the people,” he said.

Expressing confidence in the future, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “The day is not far when, after improving infrastructure, this region will emerge as a major tourist hub. These areas can act as a catalyst in placing Punjab firmly on the international tourism map.”

Referring to steps taken by his government to revive tourism infrastructure, the Chief Minister said, “The state government has revived 75 abandoned rest houses, which are now fetching revenue of around ₹1 crore.” He said more such projects will be launched in the coming days to benefit people and attract nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. “Restaurants are also being developed along rivers for public convenience, whereas during previous regimes these assets were sold off to people close to those in power,” he said.

CM Bhagwant Singh stated the overarching objective is to give a strong push to the tourism sector by developing these areas in a planned and befitting manner. He also said, “Punjab’s tableau, showcasing the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji, will be part of the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.”

Reiterating the government’s broader governance agenda, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann said, “Since day one in office in 2022, our government has been working tirelessly for the welfare of the people. Initiatives such as Mukh Mantri Sehat Yojna, free power, Aam Aadmi Clinics, education reforms, water at tail ends, construction of rural roads and the Sadak Surakhya Force have been launched.”

On welfare commitments, the Chief Minister said, “The state government will fulfill its promise of giving ₹1,000 to every woman by making provisions in the coming budget.” He expressed hope that the Union government would extend a special package to Punjab in the upcoming Union Budget, saying, “Punjab’s contribution to the nation in every sector deserves recognition.”

Referring to economic and agricultural initiatives, CM Bhagwant Singh Mann noted, “The Punjab government has partnered with Japanese company JICA, which will invest ₹1,300 crore to boost horticulture in Punjab.” He said this would help save precious groundwater while promoting crop diversification.

On law and order, the Chief Minister asserted, “It is ironic that those who patronised gangsters are now questioning the law and order situation.” He said the government has launched campaigns like ‘Yudh Nashean Virudh’ and ‘Gangsteraan te Vaar’ to break the backbone of drug smugglers and gangsters. “We are fully committed to eradicating social evils and building a peaceful, progressive and Rangla Punjab,” he said.

The Chief Minister stated anti-drone technology has been deployed along the border and is yielding encouraging results in checking the inflow of drugs and weapons. “Our aim is to stop cross-border terrorism and narco-terrorism. Punjab is the first state in the country to adopt this technology,” he said, adding that the government is making continuous efforts for the welfare of every section of society.

He said people-friendly schemes are being implemented by plugging leakages and using public funds judiciously. “Our motive is to ensure the progress of the state and prosperity of its people,” Bhagwant Singh Mann said, while adding that “if the Centre releases all the funds stalled by it, development in Punjab can be further accelerated.”

CM Bhagwant Singh Mann was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Barinder Goyal and other senior officials.

Does Non-Vegetarian Food Cause Cancer? Doctor Busts Major Myth, Reveals The REAL Culprit – Check Video!

Does Non Vegetarian Food Cause Cancer - Doctor Reveals Truth

Does Non Vegetarian Food Cause Cancer? – The debate around food and cancer never seems to end. One day, carbs are the enemy. The next, sugar is blamed for everything. And very often, non vegetarian food is dragged into the cancer conversation. Scroll through social media, and you will find strong opinions, scary claims and confusing advice. But does eating non-veg really lead to cancer? A recent video by cancer healer Doctor Tarang Krishna is now challenging this belief and offering a much clearer, science-backed perspective.

In his Instagram video, the doctor addresses a question that many people quietly worry about but rarely get a straight answer to.

Does Non Vegetarian Food Cause Cancer? Doctor Explains The Science

Doctor Tarang Krishna makes one thing very clear. Eating non vegetarian food does not directly cause cancer. He explains that the real problem is not the food itself, but how it is cooked. According to him, the veg-versus-non veg argument often misses the bigger picture.

He says he is not against eating non vegetarian food. Instead, he is strongly against improper cooking methods. When meat is cooked the wrong way, especially at very high temperatures, it can trigger changes that increase cancer risk over time.

The science behind this is important. When meat is fried, grilled, or barbecued at high heat, harmful chemicals called heterocyclic amines (HCAs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are formed. These compounds can damage DNA inside the body. Over time, this damage may raise the risk of cancer, particularly colon cancer and stomach cancer.

So, the fear around non-veg food is not entirely baseless – but it is often misdirected. The risk comes from burnt, overcooked, or charred meat not from eating meat itself.

How To Eat Non-Veg Safely And Lower Cancer Risk

You do not need to completely cut non-veg food out of your life to stay healthy. Doctor Tarang Krishna stresses that small changes in cooking habits can make a big difference.

First, avoid cooking meat on very high flames. Slow cooking or cooking on a medium flame reduces the formation of harmful compounds. Second, always remove any burnt or blackened portions before eating. Those charred bits carry the highest risk.

He also recommends balancing your plate. Adding plenty of vegetables and fibre-rich foods helps support digestion and overall gut health. This simple habit can further reduce cancer risk.

Cancer prevention is not just about avoiding certain foods. It is also about cooking smarter and eating mindfully. So the next time someone asks, “Does non vegetarian food cause cancer?” the answer is more balanced than a simple yes or no. According to medical insight, it is not the meat, but the method that truly matters.

During the meeting, Vijay revealed the party symbol, a whistle, which was officially allocated by the Election Commission. TVK cadres welcomed him with loud whistles, prompting the star to smile broadly while covering his ears. Later, after unveiling the symbol, Vijay joined in the cheering by whistling himself.

The actor also referenced his famous dialogue from the 2019 blockbuster Bigil and said, “Cup mukkiyam Bigil” (The cup is important Bigil). This means that he is focused on achieving his political goals. His use of the dialogue was met with loud cheers and applause.

Shark Tank India 5: ‘Shadi Ka Database Thodi Chahiye…’ Aman Gupta And Anupam Mittal Get Into War Of Words Over A Deal – Check Who Wins!

Shark Tank India 5 Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal Argue For Twin AI Startup

The rivalry between Aman Gupta and Anupam Mittal has become one of the most talked-about aspects of Shark Tank India 5. From sharp remarks to subtle digs, the two sharks have often been on opposite sides of the table. In a recent episode, their clash reached a new level during the pitch of Twin (an AI-powered app that lets users create a virtual avatar and try on outfits from their own digitised wardrobe). The episode ended in a fiery war of words and a decisive deal.

Twin is the brainchild of Gurugram-based entrepreneur Aseem Khanduja, who launched it in June 2025 under his venture Unstudio. An IIT Delhi chemical engineering graduate, Aseem has been working in AI for nearly eight years. Before Twin, he founded Strive (a cohort-based learning platform in which Anupam Mittal was an investor). However, Aseem exited Strive due to differences in vision.

Twin Pitch Sparks Intense Negotiation On Shark Tank India 5

On the show, Aseem sought Rs 60 lakh for 1 per cent equity, valuing Twin at Rs 60 crore. After trying the app, Aman Gupta praised it, saying, “Damn neat, good stuff. Outstanding.” Kanika Tekriwal also appreciated the concept, adding, “It’s a great thought, especially from a woman’s perspective.”

Not all sharks were convinced. Kunal Bahl and Mohit Yadav raised concerns about scalability. Kunal said, “You might need to tie up with thousands of brands.” Aseem clarified that Twin had already signed contracts with 25 Indian brands. Despite this, Kunal and Mohit decided to step out. Kunal remarked, “You are a great founder… but an affiliate model is very hard to make money from… I think it’s a good feature, but not a good business, so I am out.” Mohit added, “I think it’s a great product, but it’s too early for the product in terms of building a marketplace, so I will be out.”

Aman Gupta Vs Anupam Mittal – Won Seals The Deal?

Aman Gupta made the first offer. He said, “I like your app, aap ke andar kuch dum hai… so I offer you Rs 60 lakhs for 3 percent.” Anupam countered with Rs 68 lakh for 2 percent, and Kanika also matched his bid. Later, Aseem revised the company valuation to Rs 40 crore. Anupam offered Rs 80 lakh for 2 percent. Aman and Kanika also matched it.

Aman then said, “I have AI knowledge, and how to bring users is something you know.” Anupam argued, “We have the biggest user database, it’s more than 5 million.” That’s when Aman mocked him and replied, “Shaadi ka database thodi chahiye hai, lehenge thodi bikenge iss par.” The remark had the sharks and audience laughing.

In the end, Aseem chose Aman Gupta’s offer. He said, “I was very excited to work with you again, but I know you will help me just like that.” Anupam replied disappointedly, “How will I help you if you don’t take the deal?”

Uttarakhand News: Indian Railways in collaboration with the Uttarakhand government has announced that a series of railway projects are in their finishing phase.

New railway stations have been built at Jhabreda and Banheda Khas. A new railway line project (27.45 kilometres long) has been commissioned by the Indian Railways in the Deoband area of Rurki.

These developments would help in improving the overall, regional and local connectivity of the railway network of Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand News-More Developments On The Horizon

Indian Railways is also contemplating on upgrading the Haridwar-Saharanpur railway track with a detailed project report for enhancing the train speed to 130 kilometres per hour being approved already.

Moradabad Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Vinita Srivastava recently remarked that train routes have already been identified for trains to operate at phenomenal speeds of up to 160 kilometres per hour.

At many locations, the work related to Level Crossing Substitutes (LHS), Road Under Bridges (RUBs) and Road Over Bridges (ROBs) has been completed, including Landhaura–Dhanaura, Roorkee, Laksar, Chordiala and Aithal.

Srivastav added that infrastructure development work is presently undergoing at Roorkee, Kotdwar and Harrawala railway stations under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The Uttarakhand government would be introducing many commuter-friendly facilities such as air-conditioned waiting halls, food courts, new station buildings, wider foot-over bridges, platform sheds and standardization of platform height.

Dehradun and Haridwar railway stations would include facilities such as separation of arrival and departure flows, iconic terminal designs, world-class passenger amenities and an improved external traffic management system.

Roorkee And Dehradun Upliftment

Roorkee would benefit from the development of the Roorkee-Deoband rail line as it would boost local connectivity to Saharanpur-Haridwar routes. It would ease commuter traffic, spur trade in this industrial hub and support tourism via faster speeds on upgraded tracks.

On the other hand, Dehradun would see significant gains via Harrawala station redevelopment under Amrit Bharat. Planned iconic upgrades at the Dehradun station for separated arrival/departure flows and improved traffic management would also delight commuters, devotees and tourists. This would also improve regional links for residents, enhance economic activity by attracting more investments and passengers in the Doon Valley area.
