Bhagwant Mann Arrests 50 Drug Smugglers During Day 450 of Anti-Drug Campaign

Punjab Police officials reiterated their commitment to continuing strict action against narcotics networks while strengthening public awareness

Bhagwant Mann continued its anti-drug campaign under the “Yudh Nashian Virudh” initiative, carrying out raids across multiple locations in Punjab as part of its ongoing crackdown on narcotics networks.

According to police officials, 50 alleged drug smugglers were arrested during Day 450 of the operation.

Bhagwant Mann: Heroin, Intoxicants and Drug Money Recovered

Authorities stated that police teams recovered approximately 1.5 kilograms of heroin, 580 intoxicant tablets and capsules, along with ₹1,050 suspected drug money from the accused during the raids.

Punjab Police added that extensive search operations and intelligence-led actions are being conducted regularly to target illegal drug trafficking activities across the state.

Rehabilitation Efforts Also Underway

Apart from enforcement action, officials said that 11 individuals were counselled and encouraged to undergo de-addiction and rehabilitation treatment as part of efforts to address substance abuse through both policing and social intervention.

The police stated that the campaign is focused not only on arresting traffickers but also on helping individuals struggling with addiction return to mainstream society.

Total Arrests Cross 65,000 Since Launch of Campaign

According to official figures shared by the department, a total of 65,481 alleged drug smugglers have been arrested since the launch of the anti-drug drive.

The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has repeatedly stated that curbing drug trafficking and organized crime remains a major priority for the state administration.

Focus on Drug-Free Punjab
