Bhagwant Mann continued its statewide anti-gangster crackdown under the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign, carrying out 536 targeted raids in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab.
According to official information, the operation resulted in the arrest of 221 individuals, including six proclaimed offenders, while police also recovered 17 weapons during the raids.

The action forms part of Punjab Police’s ongoing efforts to dismantle gangster networks, trace wanted criminals, and curb organised criminal activities across the state.
Total arrests cross 27,800
Punjab Police stated that the cumulative number of arrests under the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ initiative has now reached 27,850 since the campaign was launched.
Weapons recovered during operation
Officials said the recovery of illegal weapons is part of the strategy to prevent violent crime and weaken criminal groups involved in extortion, gang rivalry, and other unlawful activities.
Public cooperation encouraged
Punjab Police has appealed to citizens to continue sharing information anonymously through the Anti-Gangster Helpline to assist law enforcement agencies in ongoing anti-crime operations.
