Addressing a public forum, CM Yogi said that a retired Director General of Police (DGP) from Uttar Pradesh has been appointed to the Education Commission with a clear mandate to dismantle organised cheating rackets. “We have placed a retired DGP in the Education Commission so that the cheating mafia can be broken in the same manner as the criminal mafia was crushed,” he said.

The Chief Minister underlined that examination integrity is non-negotiable for the state government, especially at a time when lakhs of youth depend on fair recruitment and competitive exams for their future. He added that the presence of a senior police officer with administrative and law-enforcement experience will help ensure strict monitoring, intelligence-based action and deterrence against those attempting to manipulate examinations.

Over the past few years, the Yogi government has taken several steps to curb paper leaks, impersonation and organised cheating gangs, including stricter laws, technology-driven surveillance and swift police action. Officials say the move to involve a former top police officer in the education system reflects the government’s intent to institutionalise these reforms.

The Chief Minister asserted that transparency, merit and fairness will remain the foundation of Uttar Pradesh’s education and recruitment processes. “Youth deserve a system where talent is rewarded, not corruption. Anyone trying to undermine this will face strict consequences,” he said.
