Mathura Court accept the Petition Seeking Removal of Mosque from Krishna ‘Janmabhoomi’

Mathura Court in Uttar Pradesh has accepted the petition seeking the removal of mosque adjacent to adjacent to Krishna Janmabhoomi. The court has issued notices to other parties related to this matter and asked them to keep their point.

In this case Shri Krishna Virajaman is demanding ownership of 13.37 acres of land of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi. Not only this, the petition has also demanded the removal of Shahi Eidgah Mosque (Shahi Eidgah Masjid).

Since the Supreme Court’s decision in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute case in November 2019, there has been increasing demand for the removal of mosques adjoining major temples of the country like Krishna Janmabhoomi in Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi.

This mosque was built in the 17th century. According to the petitioners, it was built on the 13-acre campus of Katra Keshav Dev Temple, at the birthplace of Lord Krishna

Notably, the accepted civil appeal has been filed on behalf of ‘Lord Shri Krishna Virjaman’, through the next friend Ranjana Agnihotri, ‘Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi’.
As he said, ”he is a devotee of Lord Shri Krishna and has the right of worship and darshan at the actual birthplace of Lord Krishna under Article 25 of the Constitution, which is currently under the illegal structure taken by Muslims”.

“It is the right and duty of the worshipers to take every step to recover the lost property of the deity and to safeguard and properly manage the property of the temple and the deity,” the appeal states.
