The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the construction of two new police stations near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, aimed at ensuring seamless security and smooth movement of passengers once the airport becomes operational.

Two New Police Stations Approved Near Noida International Airport to Strengthen Passenger Security

The two facilities will be designated as the International Terminal Police Station and the Domestic Terminal Police Station, strategically located close to the airport premises. The decision comes as the airport enters its final stage of construction and prepares to handle a high volume of domestic and international travellers.

Noida Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh said that the airport is expected to witness thousands of passengers daily, including a significant number of international flyers. “Ensuring the safety and security of passengers and the general public will be the police’s top priority,” she stated.

Dedicated Staffing and Modern Facilities

According to officials, the Domestic Terminal Police Station will have 35 sanctioned police personnel, while staffing for the International Terminal Police Station will also be provided. Around 100 trained police officers have already been prepared for deployment at the two stations.

Both police stations will be equipped with modern facilities and resources to handle security operations efficiently. Once staffing is completed, the stations will become fully operational.

Additional Police Outposts for Rapid Response

To further strengthen security in the airport vicinity, four police outposts are also being established. These outposts will enhance patrolling, surveillance and rapid response mechanisms, ensuring quick action in case of emergencies.

Commissioner Laxmi Singh added that these comprehensive arrangements are being made to prevent inconvenience to travellers and to maintain a high level of security in and around the airport.

The move reflects the state government’s focus on creating a safe, secure and traveller-friendly environment at one of India’s most ambitious aviation infrastructure projects.
