After the death of Union Minister Ashwini Choubey’s younger brother Nirmal Choubey, the relatives created a ruckus. Nirmal Choubey, a resident of Adampur in Bhagalpur city, had suffered a heart attack. Relatives took him to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital. He was admitted to the ICU at 4 pm.
Relatives allege that there was not a single doctor in the ICU. Nirmal Choubey retired from the Air Force. DSP (City) Ajay Kumar Chaudhary, who arrived on the information of the uproar, pacified the relatives. The hospital superintendent has suspended two doctors absent in the ICU. A copy of this was also given to the relatives of the deceased.
Hospital Superintendent Dr. Asim Kumar Das said that the patient was brought in a critical condition. It was learned that he had suffered a massive heart attack. The senior doctor gave him the necessary medicine. After this he was shifted to ICU, but there was no doctor there. I have suspended two doctors.
Bhagalpur City DSP Ajay Kumar Chaudhary said that whenever a complaint is received, we will get the matter investigated. Action will be taken against whoever is found negligent in the investigation. The doctor has fled from the hospital after the relatives of the victim created a ruckus.
