Uttam Nagar: Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Kushal Pal Singh has remarked that security arrangements in Hastsal JJ Colony would continue until Navratri 2026 is concluded on Friday, in line with the directives of the Delhi High Court.
The festival of Navratri would come to an end of March 27, 2026 on Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Ram.
Uttam Nagar-Turn Of Events
Communal tensions gripped Uttam Nagar in New Delhi after Tarun, a 26-year-old Hindu, was killed in a Holi clash between his family and neighbours on March 4. The violence started soon after water from a balloon thrown by a 7-year-old girl from the family of Tarun splashed on a woman from the minority community.
DCP Kushal Pal had then remarked that both families knew each other for more than five decades. Originally from Rajasthan, both families shifted in 2004 to Uttam Nagar and had a history of occasional disputes in the past, including parking disagreements.
