Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath chaired a high-level meeting in Lucknow to review road safety measures and issued several directions to concerned departments aimed at reducing road accidents and improving public awareness.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office, the meeting focused on strengthening coordination among departments and enhancing efforts related to traffic management, accident prevention, and road safety enforcement across the state.
CM Yogi Adityanath: Government Emphasizes Importance of Human Life
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stated that every human life is valuable and described deaths caused by road accidents as a significant loss for both the state and the country.
He noted that many road accidents occur due to lack of awareness and directed authorities to launch special road safety awareness campaigns in all districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Regular Monitoring and Accountability Ordered
Officials stated that the Chief Minister instructed the government to hold fortnightly review meetings at the administrative level to monitor the progress of road safety initiatives and ensure accountability of departmental officers.
Authorities were also asked to strengthen implementation of safety measures and improve coordination among transport, police, public works, and related departments.
Focus on Public Awareness and Prevention
The Uttar Pradesh government has been emphasizing public awareness campaigns, stricter traffic enforcement, and infrastructure improvements as part of broader efforts to reduce accident-related fatalities.
Officials believe that awareness programmes, better traffic discipline, and timely monitoring can help improve road safety and reduce the number of accidents across the state.
