Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has described the Digital Uttarakhand Platform as a “gamechanger” initiative in the direction of good governance. He emphasized that the integrated platform must ensure easy, accessible, and transparent delivery of citizen services across the state.
CM Dhami was speaking during a review meeting of the Information Technology Department held at the Secretariat on Monday. The session focused on assessing the progress of the platform\’s implementation and the digital transformation strategy for the state.
Transforming Governance Through Digital Infrastructure
Highlighting the importance of aligning Uttarakhand with the mainstream of the digital era, CM Dhami said the initiative will make administrative systems more efficient and transparent, and significantly enhance communication and service delivery to the public.
He instructed all departments to act swiftly and collaboratively to ensure the platform’s success, adding that special attention must be paid to making it user-friendly, secure, and efficient.
Single Access Point for All Government Services
During the meeting, Information Technology Secretary Nitesh Jha explained that the Digital Uttarakhand platform is being developed as a single digital access point for all state schemes and services. The platform will also provide express access links for timely citizen engagement.
Jha noted that this digital infrastructure will play a key role in promoting data-driven governance, improving administrative efficiency, and ensuring faster and more effective execution of welfare schemes.
