However, this is incorrect because there are several household garbage of this nature that require various disposal techniques and should not be thrown away carelessly. In states like California, there are regulations governing how to dispose of trash, and if they are broken, people may be punished and occasionally even put in jail. Battery- Batteries used in remote controls, watches, toys, and other items should never be thrown out with the trash since many of these items constitute e-waste, which is very harmful to the environment. For the first offence, there is a $50 fine; for the second offence within a year, there is a $100 fine; and for the third offence within the same year, there is a $200 fine, or Rs 16,000.

TV or Computer- Your old TV or computer likely contains a number of such materials, including plastic, a circuit board, glass, and metal, all of which have the potential to harm the environment. Both of these items are illegal to dump in the trash in several American states, and doing so can result in a fine of up to $100, or 8,000 rupees.

Smartphone or Tablet- Old cellphones and tablets are becoming more and more of a waste. They can pollute the environment and even start fires in some locations because to the toxic or combustible compounds that are inside of them. Throwing it in the trash can result in fines of up to $100 in numerous places in the United places.

Motor Oil- Motor oil, the oil used in cars, is hazardous to the environment. It damages not just animals but also plants and trees. If someone discards this oil in the trash, they might face a $50,000 fine (41 lakh rupees) or two years in jail, according to American law.

Microwave- Although microwaves used to cook meals are incredibly beneficial, they are frequently regarded as electronic waste. A $100 fee must be paid if this is thrown in the trash.
