Vivah Panchami 2021: On Margashirsha Shukla Panchami, Lord Rama married Mata Sita. Therefore, this date is celebrated as Shri Ram Vivahotsav. It is also called Vivah Panchami. Lord Rama is the epitome of consciousness and Mata Sita is the embodiment of nature’s power.

Therefore, due to the union of consciousness and nature, this day becomes very important. It is considered very auspicious to get Lord Rama and Mata Sita married on this day. This time Vivah Panchami is being celebrated on 8th December.

If there is an obstacle in getting married, then that problem goes away. You also get the boon of the desired marriage. The problems of married life also come to an end. On this day, by worshiping Lord Rama and Mother Sita jointly, the obstacles in getting married are destroyed. It is auspicious to recite the marriage incident of Lord Rama and Sita in Balkand on this day. Family life becomes happy even by reciting the entire Ramcharit-Manas on this day.

Take a bath in the morning and take the resolution of Shri Ram marriage. Place a replica of Lord Rama and Mata Sita. Offer yellow clothes to Lord Rama and red clothes to Mata Sita, either recite the marriage ceremony in front of them in Balkand or chant “Om Jankivallabhai Namah”.

After this, make an alliance (Gathbandhan) of Mata Sita and Lord Rama. Perform their aarti. After this, keep the knotted clothes safe with you.
