Weather Update: IMD reports that alerts for rain, snowfall, and storms have been issued in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan. In Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh, there will be clouds in the sky. There will be some locations with light to moderate rain. Snowfall will also persist in the mountainous regions at the same time. Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh have also been given a warning of light to moderate rain with lightning, while the Himalayan area and the plains of northwest India may have unfavourable weather starting on March 26. IMD reports that between March 26 and 28, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan may get intermittent light rain.

According to the IMD, there will likely be isolated thunderstorms and lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, along with moderately widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall. On March 26, 2024, there is a good chance of isolated, heavy rainfall or snowfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim, as well as isolated, heavy rainfall over Assam and Meghalaya. Over West Bengal & Sikkim as well as over north Odisha, Bihar & Jharkhand, there is a very good chance of isolated light to moderate rainfall along with moderate to severe thunderstorms, lightning & gusty winds.
