Thalapathy Vijay: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) under the leadership of Thalapathy Vijay won the recently concluded Tamil Nadu state assembly elections beating Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). However, TVK is still running short of the majority mark of 118 as it won only 108 seats.
Several media reports have suggested that the DMK and AIADMK may form a coalition government or try to block the path of Vijay from becoming the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Five Congress MLAs have extended their support to the TVK that brings the total to 113 but the numbers are still 5 short of the magical number of 118.
According to several media reports, AIADMK has sent feelers to the DMK party leaders for a coalition government. However, the DMK seems not interested as it will be like going against the people’s mandate.

The 51-year-old TVK supremo said he was right to predict that the Tamil Nadu elections would send tremors through the political landscape of the country. In a post on X, Vijay remarked our party has faced many people who spoke against us with mockery but we managed to successfully move past it and stood boldly and fearlessly on the electoral battlefield.
Vijay added that TVK were gifted with slanderous attacks and masked insults in the guise of guise of ‘neutrality’ and under the cloak of ‘criticism.’ The TVK head said but we managed to repay out debt of gratitude to the amazing people of Tamil Nadu who have always held him and his party with the unconditional love of a mother.
Vijay expressed his gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu for the mandate and said the children of the state influenced their entire families with their affection for our stunning win. Interestingly, Vijay had urged children to pester their parents to vote for the TVK party.
