IPL 2023: Prithvi Shaw, the opening batsman of Delhi Capitals, has been served a notice by the Bombay High Court regarding the case related to the controversy over a selfie with influencer Sapna Gill. Shaw had lodged a complaint against Gill at the Oshiwara police station in Mumbai after she and her friends had requested for a selfie, which led to significant controversy.

What is the Prithvi Shaw and Sapna Gill controversy?
Following the FIR filed against her by Prithvi Shaw for harassment, Sapna Gill approached the Bombay High Court to request the cancellation of the complaint, with the hearing scheduled for Thursday. The incident between Shaw and Gill took place outside a hotel in Mumbai, after which the cricketer filed a complaint against her, accusing her of harassment.
Based on Prithvi Shaw's complaint, Sapna Gill was arrested and later released on bail on February 20th. The social media influencer then approached the court, requesting the withdrawal of the FIR that was filed against her regarding the incident that occurred in February.
As per the complaint filed by the cricketer, Sapna and her friend Shobhit Thakur confronted Shaw and his friend Ashish Yadav after the Indian cricketer refused to take pictures with them. It was alleged that Sapna and her friend attacked Shaw's car, and one of them used a baseball bat to break the rear windshield.

In the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Prithvi Shaw has been experiencing a tough time as his team, Delhi Capitals, has not won any league match. Despite being a crucial opening batsman for the franchise, Shaw has not been in the form, scoring only 12, 7, 0, and 15 in the four matches that have taken place so far.
