AUS vs WI

AUS vs WI: At the Perth Stadium, the ongoing first Test between Australia and the West Indies has already shown signs of extra bounce, which is causing some concern for the batters. Nkrumah Bonner, a West Indian batter, took a brutal short ball to the head from Cameron Green, as the right-hander was unable to avoid the bouncer.

Bonner leaves for pavillion after playing few balls

Green hit the batter hard on the helmet. West Indies physiotherapist immediately went to have a look to him. He did continue to bat for a few more balls before deciding to leave for the pavillion, just as the replacement batter Jermaine Blackwood was arriving.

Shamarh Brooks took over as the replacement for Bonner’s concussion for the remainder of the Test match after he injured himself while batting on 16 off 47 deliveries. The concussion replacement change proved to be a blessing in disguise for the visitors as Brooks looked solid from the moment he arrived at the crease and scored 33 runs off 58 deliveries.
