Commonwealth Games 2022: Women’s World Boxing Champion Nikhat Zareen moved into quarterfinals of the light fly weight category after a win over Helena Ismael Bagao. In the women cricket contest, Pakistan have won the toss and are batting first.
It is worth mentioning that now Zareen will next face reigning Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Troy Garton of New Zealand in the quarterfinals, where a win will secure her podium finish.
After Lovlina Borgohain, Zareen becomes the second Indian boxer to qualify for the quarterfinals in the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She will be playing her next bout on August 3 against Wales boxer Helen Jones.
Other boxers playing in the quarterfinals include Keshani Hansika, Carly McNaul, Teddy Nakimuli, Sara Haghighat-Zoo, Yetunde Egunjobi, and Savannah Stubley. The games will stream on Sony Sports Network on television and on OTT you can watch the bout on Sony Liv.
