Cricket Viral Video: Former England captain Kevin Pietersen and former Australia pacer Mitchell Johnson do not have a very friendly relationship. Their off-field relationship is far from amicable, and both individuals make no effort to disguise their feelings. The roots of Pietersen’s feud with Johnson can be traced back to the intense on-field altercation that took place during the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Ashes 2013-14.

During the Boxing Day Test, in England’s second innings, Pietersen found himself at the crease with a score of 39 while their team’s total stood at 168 with five wickets down. Throughout one particular over from Johnson, Pietersen repeatedly backed away while assuming his batting stance. This continuous movement by Pietersen during Johnson’s run-up eventually reached a point where the left-arm pacer had had enough.
Johnson’s growing frustration reached a boiling point when, after yet another instance of Pietersen backing away, he deliberately threw the ball towards the batsman. This action was accompanied by Johnson’s evident anger, leading to a heated confrontation between the two players on the field. Engaged in a continuous exchange of verbal blows, their clash escalated to such an extent that the on-field umpire had to intervene and separate them.

In the 2013-14 Ashes series, Australia delivered a resounding 5-0 victory over England, characterized by numerous intense moments between players from both teams. Despite the conclusion of the series, Pietersen’s ongoing feud with Johnson persisted. Even after his retirement in 2015, Johnson took a jab at Pietersen and Michael Vaughan, making remarks on the sidelines of the Ashes, further fueling their feud.
