Gohar picks a one-handed stunner

Gloucestershire set a target of 196 for the hosts after an impressive knock of 52 runs off just 20 balls by Ben Charlesworth. Essex, despite losing Adam Rossington early, fought back with Feroze Khushi and Robin Das accelerating the scoring rate. In the pursuit of victory, Gloucestershire’s left-arm fast bowler David Payne, who had returned from injury, provided his team with a glimmer of hope by dismissing Zafar Gohar.

However, it was Gohar who deserves the majority of the credit for the wicket. Payne, bowling from around the wicket, enticed Khushi to charge down the wicket with a menacing back-of-a-length delivery. Caught off guard, Khushi could only manage to direct the ball towards backward point. Zafar Gohar took to his Twitter account to share the video of his remarkable catch, where he tagged his compatriots Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz. In his comment, he playfully remarked, “That was too easy @76Shadabkhan @mnawaz94.”
