Cricket Viral Video: In the last few years, batters like Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur have almost changed the way people look at Indian Women’s cricket. From the calm and composite batting style to offensive, hammering batters, the Indian women’s team has come a long way down. From time to time she keeps reminding the cricketing world of her presence through marvellous knocks. One such knock was played by her against England at County Cricket Ground, Derby. It helped India emerge victorious in that match and level the three-match series by 1-1.

Smriti Mandhana’s heroic knock

Left-handed Mandhana has been the backbone of the Indian batting line-up. She has proved herself as a consistent batter with sound technique, on which the team and management can rely. Opener Smriti Mandhana’s 79* and Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur’s 29 destroyed the English bowling line-up and helped the Indian team in beating England by 8 wickets. With Smriti’s unbeaten 79, backed by the skipper from the other end, India did not face much difficulty in chasing down the total.

After the falling of Shefali Verma and Dayalan Hemalatha’s wicket Mandhana got the support of the Indian skipper. After 10 overs India’s score was 90-2 and in 16.4 overs India chased down the target of 146 with Mandhana’s unbeaten 79 in 53 balls, including 14 boundaries. Her knock is considered as one of the best in women’s cricket history.
