The left-handed batsman stole the spotlight in a thrilling match against Oval Invincibles on Wednesday (August 2) with his Superman-like efforts to prevent a six. In the 94th delivery of the 2nd innings, Gus Atkinson, the batter for Oval Invincibles, unleashed a powerful flat shot towards deep square leg.

As the ball was destined to cross the boundary, Matthew Wade stunned everyone with a remarkable jump, catching the ball mid-air, and skillfully throwing it back inside the field just in time. The incredible feat captured on video quickly spread like wildfire on social media, and fans showered praises on the Australian wicketkeeper for his breathtaking fielding performance.

Despite Matthew Wade’s extraordinary efforts, Oval Invincibles emerged victorious in the match. During the last set of five deliveries, Oval Invincibles needed 15 runs to secure a win. Sunil Narine played a crucial role, smashing a six and a four, ultimately leading his team to a thrilling 3-wicket triumph.
