DC vs PBKS IPL 2023: After being out of form in the last five matches of the tournament, David Warner has roared back to form with a blistering fifty. Batting first PBKS scored 167/6 in 20 overs. However, David Warner had a stunning start in the innings by smashing his 60th fifty in 23 balls, hammering with a strike rate of 217.39.
Warner roars back to form
Riding on the valiant century of Prabhsimran Singh (103), Punjab Kings managed to amass 167 runs on board. However, Delhi Capitals were off to a flying start as they slammed 65 runs within the powerplay itself without losing any wickets. The majority of these runs came from David Warner’s bat as he continued to notch big hits.
David began the innings by smashing two boundaries on the first two balls itself. However, Harpreet Brar bowled Philip Salt in the seventh over and gave a major breakthrough to his team. However, David Warner looked ineffective and continued to slam boundaries and then just on the first ball of the next over, he took a single and notched off his fifty. He is also the leading fifty-scorer in the history of the tournament. This is the 13th fifty for David Warner against Punjab Kings in 24 innings.
