Delhi Court Takes Note of Ongoing Investigation in Brij Bhushan Singh Case

Harjeet Singh Jaspal, an additional chief metropolitan magistrate (ACMM), took notice of the city police’s assertion that their investigation is still ongoing and that a supplemental charge sheet is likely to be issued. The case was subsequently put on the calendar for next week’s hearing. “However, since FSL report and report on CDR (call detail record) is awaited, it is likely to take time. Put up for consideration for July 7,” the judge said. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and a BJP member of parliament, has been charged by Delhi Police with sexual harassment and stalking. After numerous prominent wrestlers, including Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia, and Vinesh Phogat, protested for weeks, the chargesheet was finally submitted.
