Devika Ghorpade: The IBA Youth Men’s and Women’s World Boxing Championships 2022 at La Nucia, Spain, saw gold medals won by Indian fighters Devika Ghorpade, Vishwanath Suresh, and Vanshaj. The group was tabbed as the favourites to win the title of youth world champion, and they lived more than the hype.
Devika’s long list of medals
With 11 medals, India presently leads the ongoing competition. Ghorpade, a native of Pune, has received numerous awards, and in addition to her success in boxing, she also has a significant fan following on Instagram thanks to her reels.
Born in 2005, Devika won 5-0 and defeated Lauren Mackie of England in the women’s 52kg final. Devika has previously triumphed in a number of national competitions, taking home gold in the 46 kg division at the Khelo India DG Sports Authority of India, Pune, Jan. 19 in addition to golds at the West Zone India Championship in 2017 and the State Championships in 2018.

Devika Ghorpade is undoubtedly one of the star boxers of the upcoming generation and is someone to keep an eye on, whether it be through footage of her working out in the gym or clips of her dancing to popular tunes.
