Wriddhiman Saha impresses with catch

The decision of the Delhi Capitals to bat first, following their victory in the toss, completely backfired as Mohammed Shami made a strong start with the ball for the reigning champions. Right on the first ball of the game, he dismissed the dangerous Philip Salt without scoring any runs.

The situation worsened for the Delhi Capitals as their captain, David Warner, was run out for just 2 runs in the second over. Mohammed Shami struck once more, removing Rilee Rossouw for a meager 8 runs in the third over of the innings. Before the Delhi Capitals could even recover from these setbacks, Shami dealt another blow by dismissing Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg in the fifth over.

In the fifth over of the match, Mohammed Shami displayed his skills by delivering a superb ball that moved away at the crucial moment, leading to the dismissal of Pandey. The impeccable seam position played a crucial role as Pandey struggled to connect while attempting a drive. Instead, he ended up edging the ball behind the stumps, where Wriddhiman Saha showcased his athleticism by making a remarkable full-length dive to his right, ultimately completing an astonishing catch.
