IND vs AUS: Famed batting lineup of Men in Blue crumbles like a pack of cards; gets bowled out within two sessions

IND vs AUS

IND vs AUS: Team India began the third test on a bright note when skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first. Men in Blue entered the ground with a couple of changes with Shubman Gill replacing KL Rahul and Umesh Yadav replacing Shami. Batters started the inning on an aggressive note but failed to make a mark as they were eventually bundled out for just 109 runs.

Batters fail to make a promising start

Batters struggled during the game as several consistent players were taken off by the Australian bowlers. Alex Carey successfully stumped Rohit Sharma when he attempted to block a ball from Matthew Kuhnemann. Soon after, Shubman Gill followed and was caught by Steve Smith. A brilliant ball from Nathan Lyon that spun sharply from outside the off stump and shattered Cheteshwar Pujara’s stumps.

Virat Kohli appeared to be the only Indian batsman who could withstand the pitch’s storm despite the odds, but he too was finally bowled over by Todd Murphy’s ball. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja could only manage four runs while Shreyas Iyer got out on a duck.

Axar Patel scored 12 off 33 balls while Srikar Bharat managed to score 17 runs. Umesh Yadav played a brilliant cameo at the end scoring 17 off 13, smashing two sixes and a boundary. Ashwin was out for 3 runs as well. Overall, the batting was below par and fans were expecting a better start from India.
