What had happened during IND vs AUS match?

This incident happened during the 20th over of the match. After the last ball of the over was bowled by Jadeja, David Warner, who was standing in front, attempted to sweep the ball. However, the ball didn’t hit his bat properly and flew towards deep backward square, taking the top edge. David Warner started running when he saw the ball approaching the boundary.
