IND vs SA 2nd ODI: After opting to bat first, Proteas have posted a total of 278/6 on board. Aiden Markram was the hero of the innings as he scored 79 off 89 balls before getting out to Washington Sundar. Following him was, Reeza Hendricks who cored 74 off 76 balls. David Miller managed to score 40 off 36 balls.
Mohammad Siraj was the key bowler of the inning as he gave just 38 runs in 10 overs while taking three wickets. Debutant Shahbaz Ahmed gave 54 runs in his spell of 10 overs while taking a wicket of Janneman Malan. While, Avesh Khan gave 35 runs in his seven overs spell. Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, and Shardul Thakur picked a wicket each.
Earlier, team South Africa had won the toss and opt to bat first in the second One-Day International happening today at the JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi. South Africa had won the first ODI match at the lucknow by 9 runs and took an advantage of 1-0 in the series. Shreyas Iyer played a brave knock but he couldn’t save the team from a loss that day.
