Ind Vs WI 2023: India registered an emphatic win over West Indies in the first test. The Blue Tigers defeated the Carribean by an inning and 141 runs. That is a huge victory in can be considered as one of the biggest victories.

The real star of the match was Ravichandran Ashwin and Man Of The Match Yashasvi Jaiswal. The 21-year-old scored 171 runs in the first inning before getting out and breaking several records during his inning.

The whole nation was impressed by him and it looks like even the Indian squad was impressed. Especially Rohit Sharma who opened the inning with him and scored a century himself. In the post-match interview, the Indian skipper praised Jaiswal highly and hailed him as the next big thing.

Ind Vs WI 2023: Made For The Big Stages

In the interview, Rohit Sharma stated that Jaiswal never panicked and showed real maturity even though this was his debut match. He became the third Indian batsman to score 150 on his debut and was really close to hitting a double century as well.

The Indian skipper stated that the young batsman has talent and he has shown us that he is ready for big stages. The left-handed batsman also became the 8th Indian player to get the MOTM award on his debut. A list that includes his fellow teammates Ashwin and Rohit Sharma as well.

Rohit Sharma further stated "He came and batted sensibly. The temperament was also tested, a no stage he was panicking. The chats we had were to remind him that 'you belong here. you have done the hard yards, now enjoy your time here."

Amazing Bowling Efforts

Rohit Sharma further praised the bowling efforts of the team especially of Ashwin and Jadeja. He stated that getting West Indies out under 150 in both innings was amazing and the result speaks for itself.
