India beat England in warm-up game by 7 wickets

Mohammed Shami scalped 3 wickets that helped India to restrict England to a total of 188/5 in 20 overs. Ishan Kishan top-scored for India in the chase of 189 runs. He opened the innings with KL Rahul in the absence of Rohit Sharma and made his case stronger for a spot in the final playing XI when the main matches starts.

KL Rahul added 82 runs for the first wicket with Ishan Kishan. He got to his fifty with a strike-rate of over 200 to give India an early advantage in the chase.

Rahul Chahar, who got a place in the Indian side for T20 World Cup bowled few good deliveries and picked up the Dawid Malan’s wicket. However, his economy rate was over 10 runs-per over. Before the match during toss Indian skipper Virat Kohli who is on his last T20I captaincy stint has confirmed that he will play at No.3 in the T20 World Cup.
