IPL 2023: Despite Joe Root’s outstanding performance in England’s white-ball format, he has not secured a place in the playing XI for his Rajasthan Royals (RR) team in the 2023 Indian Premier League. RR currently holds the top position in the points table, having won four out of five matches played so far, with their only defeat being against Punjab Kings (PBKS). However, ahead of the clash against LSG a new video has taken over the internet in which the star batter can be seen hitting the iconic helicopter shot.

Regarding Root, he holds significant importance in the current season’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) squad. However, due to the presence of a highly talented top-order, which includes his fellow national teammate Jos Buttler, he has been unable to secure a place in the starting lineup for his franchise in the lucrative league. Nevertheless, there are indications that he may finally get a chance, as he was observed training hard during net sessions before their upcoming match scheduled for Wednesday, April 19th.

Rajasthan Royals’ official Twitter handle posted a video clip showcasing the star batsman executing the well-known ‘helicopter’ shot, made famous by the former Indian captain MS Dhoni. The video went viral on social media platforms, with numerous fans drawing comparisons to Dhoni’s signature shot, and even speculating about the likelihood of the star batsman featuring in the upcoming match.
