KKR vs GT IPL 2023: In the 39th match of IPL 2023, Gujarat Titans has defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by a margin of seven wicket. GT won the toss and chose to field first. Batting first KKR managed to post 179/7 in 20 overs, riding on Gurbaz’s heroic knock of 39-ball-81. In response, GT didn’t have a much ideal start but they they chased down the target 13 balls to spare. This is their third consecutive victory and have further strengthened their chances for next stage.

Coming to chase a target of 180 runs, Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed first with a score of 10 runs off 10 balls. Shubman Gill stabilised the inning by playing a crucial knock of 49 runs in 35 balls while Skipper Hardik Pandya scored 26 off 20 balls.
Vijay Shankar played a crucial knock of 51* runs in 24 balls while David Miller scored 32* off 18 balls. Harshit Rana, Andre Russell, and Sunil Narine picked a wicket each.
Gurbaz’s knock lifts KKR total
Earlier, Hardik Pandya led GT won the toss and chose to field first. They did not have quite a good start, losing Jagadeesan (19 off 15) cheaply. Shardul Thakur was dismissed on a duck by Shami, which further weakened their stance. However, Afghan batter Gurbaz played a remarkable inning of 39-ball-81, hitting five boundaries and seven maximums. This is also the highest score by any Afghan batter in the IPL.
Venkatesh Iyer and Skipper Nitish Rana could not capitalise on the moment and scored just 11 and 4 runs respectively. Rinku Singh scored 19 off 20 balls while Russell played a small cameo of 34 off 19 balls. Shami picked a three-wicket haul while Joshua Little and Noor Ahmed grabbed a couple of wickets each.
