Lionel Messi: As his team won its first game at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the legendary Lionel Messi of Argentina appeared to be too happy. Prior to a stunning comeback against Mexico, Argentina lost shockingly, 1-2, to Saudi Arabia. However, they defeated Mexico 2-0 at Lusail Stadium on Saturday, November 26, earning their country's first World Cup triumph.

Messi, 35, stripped off after scoring his second goal of the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Saturday and danced with his teammates in the locker room. While bouncing, Messi raised both arms. The goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, was seen dancing on a table.
During the post-match conversation, Messi said, “Given the defeat we didn't expect the days were very long and we were eager to have the chance to turn it around. We knew this was a critical game because if didn't win we were out and if we won we had another chance.” Continuing further, he said “Luckily we won and it is a weight off our shoulders, a reason for joy and peace of mind because it is all down to us again.”
