New Zealand Prime Minister congratulates Kane Williamson’s for winning World Test Championship

Praises and congratulatory messages are pouring in for the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand side all over the world after they won the inaugural World Test Championship final against India by eight wickets. Cricket fans all over the are delighted to see New Zealand as the World Test Champions after their heartbreaking 2019 World Cup final loss to England.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is also delighted with her countrymen’s stellar show in the final.

“The Blackcaps have made New Zealand proud. This was a masterful performance from a team at the top of their game and on top of the world. Kane Williamson and the team leaders have built a brilliant and humble squad who has become an inspiration to many New Zealanders,” Jacinda Ardern said in a statement.

“Over a number of years now we have seen the development of a team and team culture that has taken New Zealand cricket to world-beating heights. This victory is the well-deserved culmination of that work. We look forward to welcoming the team home and celebrating their success,” she added.

Jacinda also posted on social media congratulating the Kane Williamson-led team for their saga in World Test Championship.

“What a team! Congratulations @blackcapsnz You’ve made us all proud…again! #worldchampions,” wrote PM Jacinda on Instagram.
