PSL 2023: In what can be described as a remarkable display of skill and prowess, Naseem Shah, the Pakistani cricketer, is currently showcasing impressive form, which was fully evident during the 10th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL 2023). During this match, Naseem Shah executed a nearly flawless yorker ball that completely bowled over Rovman Powell, with the middle stump of the latter being dislodged in a rather spectacular style.

Naseem Shah throws a ferocious yorker

This wicket was taken by Naseem Shah in the third over of his match, after having conceded 13 runs in his first two overs. The previous partnership between Peshawar Zalmi batsmen Rovman Powell and Jimmy Neesham, which had seen them add 45 runs for the fifth wicket, was broken just as they were approaching a fifty-run partnership.

As the ball was delivered, it landed at the middle stump just inside the crease, leaving Rovman Powell with the task of trying to bring his bat down in time. Despite his best efforts, however, he was unable to do so, resulting in the ball hitting the middle stump and forcing him to return to the pavilion after being cleanly bowled.

Throughout the match, Naseem Shah exhibited remarkable skill and form, allowing only three singles to be scored in his remaining overs. His outstanding performance yielded figures of 1-19 in four overs, although unfortunately, it was not enough to secure a win for the Quetta Gladiators. In fact, Peshawar Zalmi’s team was able to successfully chase down the target of 155 runs with nine balls to spare. The highlight of their batting performance was Jimmy Neesham’s quick-fire 38 off 23 balls.
