RR vs PBKS IPL 2023: Sam Curran became the most expensive player of the tournament when he was bought by Punjab Kings for a whooping INR 18.5 crore. He took the cricketing world by storm and everybody expected a sizzling performance from him. However, in the second match today, he was hit by a massive six on the first ball of the innings by batter Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's thunderous start

Rajasthan Royal opted to field first in the game after winning the toss. Punjab Kings, however, managed to score 197 runs in 20 overs. The second inning of the match already got off to a bizarre start as R Ashwin came to open the attack with Yashasvi Jaiswal instead of Buttler who was reportedly hurt while taking a catch earlier.

However, what happened next left everyone surprised. Sam Curran was called by the skipper to bowl the first over of the innings. Just on the first ball, the Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who has played just 25 matches in his IPL career, slammed a massive six on to the square leg. The video of six has now gone immensely viral over the internet. However, Sam Curran quickly made a comeback as only one run more was scored in the next five balls. Yashasvi was also dismissed in the next over by Arshdeep Singh with a score of 11 runs off 8 balls.
