English Cricket Board posted an official statement right after the announcement "Stuart Broad has announced his retirement from Test cricket, bringing an end to an illustrious 17-year international career," the statement read.
Broad told English captain Ben Stokes about his decision a day before the official announcement. As he felt like it was the absolutely right time.
