T20 World Cup 2022: The Dutch ruined the celebration of Proteas before leaving the competition as their match against South Africa resulted in a huge upset. Yes, you read that correctly. The International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a video of a fan making an incredible one-handed catch and asked as to whether the catch will count as the “catch of the tournament.”

Colin Ackermann smashed Wayne Parnell’s half-volley for a thunderous six into the stands in the ICC video. But one of the spectators at Adelaide Oval managed to catch the ball “effortlessly,” using just one hand to pluck it out of the air. The commentator and other viewers at the game praised the spectator’s masterpiece.

New Zealand, England, and India qualified for the semifinals. However, with Dutch’s victory over Proteas, the match between Pakistan and Bangladesh turned into a virtual quarterfinal. Resultantly, Pakistan won and miraculously qualified for the semifinal, thanks to the Netherlands.
