T20 World Cup 2022: It is undeniable that the cricketers from India and Pakistan get along well. The relationship between the players on either side remains unaffected by the stress, drama, pressure, and expectations that accompany an India-Pakistan encounter.
One of the attractions of the Asia Cup in the UAE was the camaraderie between Pakistan’s top players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi and their coaches Mohammad Yousuf and Saqlain Mushtaq and India’s top players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant.
Captains had met for a photoshoot
Before the commencement of the eighth T20 World Cup in Melbourne, the captains of all 16 teams gathered in two groups to speak to the media.
Babar and Rohit appeared to be two friends who just so happened to represent different nations in cricket. They were all complimentary of one another throughout, but when a journalist inquired about the chats they had while competing, they gave a great explanation of the friendship between India and Pakistan.
Rohit and Babar’s statement
“Main koshish karta hu inse experience lu kyuki inhone itna serve kia hua hai toh jitni zyada sikhi jay wo accha hai hamare lying, Ye (Rohit) bade hai mujhse. I’m older than Rohit Sharma. Since he has been playing for a while, I try to learn as much as I can from him “Babar stated.
“Babar ne bola Nahi Jiaise… We are aware of the game against Pakistan, but there is no need to constantly bring it up and put unnecessary pressure on yourself. ‘Ghar mein kya haalchaal hai’ Hum log aapas mein jab bhi mile jaise Asia Cup mile, abhi mile, Bas us cheez k bare mein hum bat karte hai, “Family kaisi hai?” Alternatively, jitne bhi inke teamates se mila main hu. Unho bhi hame bataya tha apas mein gharr k bare mein baatchit hoti hai, jo hamare pahle generation k players hai… Life is what it is, as the saying goes. Ye Sab Baat Hoti Hai (Whenever we play against Pakistani players, who we first encountered at the Asia Cup, we discuss how things are doing at home and in our homes.” said Rohit.
Continuing further, Rohit said, “The same issue was also confirmed by cricket players from our previous generation. We simply discuss current events, daily activities, and any new cars that have recently been purchased or are on the market.”
For the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup, which begins on October 22, India and Pakistan have been put in the same group. One day later, in Melbourne, they would launch their campaign against one another. The last time India and Pakistan faced off in a World Cup game, Babar Azam’s team won in Dubai by a margin of 10 wickets. Since then, the two teams have competed again in the Asia Cup, sharing the victory each time.
