IPL 2023: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 tournament will begin on Friday evening with a big opening ceremony. Ten teams will compete for the championship over a month. The opening ceremony will be a big event featuring popular actresses Tamannah Bhatia and Rashmika Mandanna, who will be performing tonight. However, just before the opening ceremony, the two actresses have revealed their favorite performers from tournament.
Actresses reveal their IPL 2023 top picks
The 16th season of IPL is generating a lot of hype and anticipation because it is the first tournament to be held across India after Covid-19 restrictions. Fans are eagerly awaiting the opening ceremony, which will take place at a full Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. Popular musician Arijit Singh, along with actresses Rashmika Mandanna and Tamannah Bhatia, will be performing at the ceremony, adding to the excitement of the event.
During an interview, the two actresses shared their love for cricket and revealed their favourite players for the tournament. Chennai SuperKings captain MS Dhoni and Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli were both named as their top choices.
Rashmika Mandanna said, “When I watch cricket match, my emotions are topsy-turvy. I only like to see scores. Dhoni sir and Virat sir are my favourites.” Meanwhile, Tamannaah Bhatia said, “Movies and cricket are really close to us. Dhoni is everyone’s favourite and I am no different, Virat also.”

The IPL organizers released a video on Thursday evening showing the actresses rehearsing for their performance at the IPL opening ceremony. The ceremony will be broadcast on Star Sports Channel and can be streamed live on the JioCinema App starting at 6 PM on Friday.
