Kohli didn’t bat in any of the two exhibition games that Team India played against Western Australia. Numerous cricket fans questioned Kohli’s absence. However, the talented Indian batsman was afterwards spotted panting in the nets. Before Team India went for Brisbane for the T20 World Cup official warm-up matches, Kohli put in a lot of work in the nets at the WACA Stadium in Perth.

Kohli was so focused during the net session that he went beyond the permitted amount of time for his practise. A member of the coaching staff can be heard telling Kohli that his time at the nets is up in a video that was posted on social media. But in response, the 33-year-old said he would keep going until the following batter, Deepak Hooda, showed up for practise and took guard.

One of the support staff members replied, “Virat, your time is over.” When Hooda arrives, I’ll leave, Kohli is heard telling the support staff worker, “Hooda ayega, toh mein chala jaunga.”
