All teams have submitted their list of releases and returns. 1097 players are going to bid but a total of 61 players will be selected. A lot of players are named in this list while the base price of some players has been reduced. Steve Smith
The most shocking decision in the list of releases and retainers came when Rajasthan Royals released their captain Steve Smith and handed over the captaincy to Sanju Samson. In the IPL, Steve Smith has played more matches for Rajasthan Royals. The Rajasthan Royals of the IPL did not fare well last season and finished the tournament in the eighth position under the leadership of Steve Smith. Now Rajasthan Royals can buy Steve Smith once again, but this time their price will be lower.
Chris Morris
Chris Morris has good IPL experience. Last season Chris Morris played for Royal Challengers Bangalore but this time he has been released by Virat Kohli’s RCB. Chris Morris is an all-rounder and last year 10 crore was bought by RCB. Last year, Morris scored 34 runs in 9 matches while taking 11 wickets. Now RCB needs all-rounders once again, in which case RCB can once again include Chris Morris in their camp at a low bid.
