World Cup 2023: Amidst all the World Cup 2023 controversies, two of Pakistan’s greatest players have come out and slammed PCB again. PCB has been constantly showing its displeasure with its fixtures for the World Cup 2023.

Pakistan Cricket Team has still not received the permit from the government to travel to India. Moreover, they have also asked BCCI to change their venues for matches against India, Australia, and Afghanistan.

Unsurprisingly, both BCCI and ICC have rejected their request for a change of venue. PCB future chairman, Zaka Ashraf, also showed his displeasure with ACC’s decision to hold Asia Cup in hybrid mode while they have to travel to India for World Cup.

Amidst all the controversies, former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram and former legend of the game Kamran Akmal have come out and lashed the PCB on their stubborn decision.

Where’s The Issue?

In an interview, Wasim Akram slammed the PCB board and stated that the resistance was unnecessary. He further added that if you ask Pakistan players, they won’t have any problem playing in Ahmedabad or on any other ground. They will play according to World Cup 2023 schedule.

He also commented on Pakistan’s threat of not traveling to India for the World Cup. The former swing king stated that he is all in for ego, but PCB has to learn to move on. The board should only make claims that they can back up. At the end of the day, this is only a game.

World Cup 2023: “This Is Stupidity

After Wasim Akram’s statement, Kamran Akmal released a video on his youtube channel stating that the request made by PCB is absurd. He also backed the decision by the ICC to reject the request of PCB to change the venues.

The former Wicket Keeper further added that this is an ICC event and ICC will make every decision. If ICC had accepted PCB’s request to change venue, other countries would have demanded the same. “Yeh Bewakoofi hai main samajhta hoon,” The former Wicket Keeper stated.
