In a significant move, the 22-match Women’s Premier League tournament has announced free entry for women and girls, while tickets for men and boys are available for a nominal price of Rs 100 and 400, according to details provided on the ticketing website and app, Bookmyshow. This strategy aligns with the BCCI’s recent adoption of a similar approach for the home T20I series between India Women and Australia Women, aiming to boost attendance in women’s matches.
Furthermore, the Women’s Premier League’s official handle has revealed that the T20 competition’s opening ceremony will feature performances by Kriti Sanon, AP Dhillon, and Kiara Advani. The curtain-raising program for the first-ever WPL match will commence at 05:30 pm, with the first ball set to be bowled at 07:30 pm.
