Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha warns couple during Valentine’s Week, directs party members to hit 'love birds' with 'lath'

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha: February, the month of love, is celebrated with much fervour among couples, both married and unmarried. The seven-day-long celebration, known as Valentine's Week, begins with Rose Day on February 7, and ends with Valentine's Day on February 14. However, Hindus have often objected to Valentine's Day with the belief that it forces western culture upon Indians. In Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has given a strict warning to the youth celebrating Valentine's Day in the district.

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha calls Valentine's Day obscene

In Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha District President Lokesh Saini along with organisation's workers organised a program of Lath Puja at Shivpal Mandir Dharamshala in Anandpuri locality. They also worshipped 'lath' on this occasion. Lokesh Saini said that people demonstrate obscenity by seducing minor children in the guise of Valentine's Day. He said anyone who finds 'love birds' is free to hit them with sticks. He said minors are harassed by men who them to hotels, restaurants and parks, because 'our sisters and daughters probably do not know that Valentine's Day is celebrated'. He said that the day of birth of a Christian figurine (Saint Valentine) who had illicit relationships with hundred of women cannot be a matter of celebrations, specially for Hindus.

'All hotels will be searched'

Further, Lokesh Saini said that the Akhil Bhartiya Hindu Mahasabha has decided that on February 10, it will search all the hotels and restaurants in the district to monitor portrayal of any obscenity across the district. On February 12, the effigy of Valentine’s Day will also be blown up, he added. People are requested to stay away from things like Valentine’s Day and respect Sanatan Dharma and Hindu culture, he added.
