Released on January 17, 2025, the 3 part manifesto focuses on making Delhi a 'Viksit' (developed) city. The BJP Sankalp Patra promises several welfare schemes, which are expected to shape the future of Delhi.

BJP Sankalp Patra (Manifesto) for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025

The BJP Sankalp Patra for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025, released on January 17, outlines a series of promises aimed at transforming the city. The manifesto introduces several welfare schemes targeting different sections of society. Here’s a closer look at the key promises in the BJP's Delhi Assembly Election 2025 manifesto:

1. Mahila Samman Nidhi: The BJP’s Mahila Samman Nidhi initiative will provide women in Delhi with Rs 2,500 as a direct financial benefit.

2. Increase in Old Age Pension: For senior citizens between the ages of 60 and 70, the BJP’s manifesto promises to increase their pension from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500. 

3. Rs 500 Cylinder Subsidy for Poor Women: The BJP promises a Rs 500 subsidy on cooking LPG cylinders for women from economically weaker sections in Delhi. 

4. One Cylinder on Holi and Diwali: In celebration of major festivals like Holi and Diwali, the BJP Sankalp Patra promises to provide one free gas cylinder to women in Delhi. 

5. Nutritional Kits for Women: As part of the BJP’s commitment to women’s health, the manifesto promises to provide 6 nutritional kits to women in need, along with Rs 21,000 for pregnant mothers. 

6. Implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana: The BJP Sankalp Patra promises the immediate implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi, offering an additional health cover of Rs 50,000. 

7. Atal Canteen Yojana: The Atal Canteen Yojana is a major promise in the BJP’s Sankalp Patra, designed to provide meals at just Rs 5 for residents in slum areas (jhuggi jhopdi). This initiative will ensure that individuals in underserved communities have access to nutritious meals at an affordable price.

BJP president JP Nadda emphasised that this Sankalp Patra is the foundation for a "developed Delhi." According to Nadda, the BJP had previously made 500 promises in 2014 and delivered 499 of them, while in 2019, they made 235 promises and completed 225. The remaining promises are in various stages of implementation. 

BJP’s Political Strategy for Delhi

As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 approach, BJP has already declared candidates for 68 out of the 70 constituencies, leaving two seats for its NDA (National Democratic Alliance) allies. The JD(U) will contest from Burari, fielding Shailendra Kumar, while the LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest from Deoli. Voting will take place on February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.
