Delhi Murder Case: The police have found the knife that 20-year-old Sahil used to kill the young girl in northwest Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, police informed PTI on Thursday, marking a significant development in the Sakshi murder case. On Thursday, the court prolonged the accused’s imprisonment for an additional three days. He was questioned once again, the officer said, and the offending firearm was found on his account. The officer added that Sahil was cross-examined because he kept changing his statements.

Interrogation of Victim’s Friends and Identification of Accused’s Path in Sakshi Murder Case

The victim’s three pals, Bhawna, Ajay alias Jhabru, and Neetu, were all interrogated separately in relation to the crime. The policeman claimed that the accused’s path away from the crime site had been identified. Police recreated the crime scene on Wednesday. The accused Sahil’s cell phone, as well as the knife used in the crime, have reportedly been recovered and seized by the police thus far. In connection with the crime, the police claimed to have questioned more than 10 of victim Sakshi’s acquaintances, including Ajay alias Jhabru, Neetu, and Praveen. According to the police, eight people were also recognised from the CCTV footage and their statements were recorded. In response to case updates, Delhi Police stated that they were also currently going over all of the CCTV footage on the road that runs from Rithala to Bulandshahr via Anand Vihar.

Multiple Stab Wounds and Cement Slab Attack

On May 28, Sakshi, age 16, was fatally stabbed over 20 times and hit with a slab of cement, according to Sahil. Her head was ruptured, and she had 34 wounds on her body. The following day, Sahil was taken into custody in Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh. After the crime, he allegedly threw the knife into the bushes in Rithala. According to the police, Sahil admitted to them during questioning that Sakshi’s rejection of him in front of her friends and refusal to respond to him was the reason for his rage. According to the authorities, the two were involved in a relationship that had become toxic. According to the police, the investigation conducted so far has shown that Sahil was the only one involved in the crime; the accused also admitted to carrying it out on his own.
