Chhattisgarh News: Regarding crime against women, the Chhattisgarh government has made a significant decision. Giving government positions to anyone suspected of molesting and raping girls and women is prohibited. All of the General Administration Department's collectors have received orders in this regard.
Government Positions Restricted for Rape Suspects
Any applicant who has been convicted of a crime against women shall not seek for a government position, states the decree. won't be qualified for appointment to any position or service. However, his appointment case will be postponed until the criminal case's verdict if similar matters are still active in court against any applicant. A prohibition on government jobs for rape suspects was proclaimed by CM Bhupesh Baghel on August 15. On Monday, an administrative order was finally issued.
Stringent Rules Against Crime Suspects in Government Jobs
According to rule 6 of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services General Conditions Act of 1961, sub-rule 4, it has been ruled that candidates for government employment against whom complaints of rape and molestation of girls and women are recorded, for instance, if the accused person has been found not guilty, would not be considered. The accused will not be appointed to government services or positions if a complaint has been filed against them under sections 354, 376, 376A, 376B, 376C, and 376D of the Indian Penal Code of 1960 and the POCSO Act of 2012. This won't happen until the lawsuit has a conclusion, though. On behalf of the General Administration, instructions have been issued to all the department heads as well as the Commissioner and Collector to take necessary action in this regard.
