Delhi News: In light of the festive month, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Monday that government employees would receive a ₹7,000 cash incentive. Non-gazetted Group B and Group C employees of the Delhi government would receive the one-time bonus.
Chief Minister’s Gratitude to Public Servants
CM Kejriwal recognised the vital role Delhi government workers play in providing public services. “Currently, around 80,000 Group B non-gazetted and Group C employees are working with Delhi Govt. A total of ₹56 crores will be spent to provide this bonus,” he said in a video addressed shared on X (formerly Twitter).
Commitment to Employee Welfare
The chief minister declared that his administration will keep up its ongoing efforts to improve the lives of its workers. Given the worsening air pollution levels in the national capital region, the Delhi CM is anticipated to assess the situation in the interim. The environment minister of Delhi, Gopal Rai, as well as representatives from other relevant departments will be present at the meeting, which is scheduled to start at noon. The Delhi Secretariat will host the high-level gathering.
